VFX Showcase

This page is where I record my growth as a VFX artist, where I showcase effects that I'm proud of making among the hundreds that I have done. Looking back at the earlier ones that I have made always give me motivation to do better and improve.

First VFX

The very first VFX I made in Unreal Engine, made to replicate the kame-hame-ha blast from Dragon ball .

First real time VFX

I was tasked to make VFX for the skillset for a thief/rogue class in a RPG genre. It took 2 weeks to complete this task but it was fun and I was hungry for more.

2023 progress

After the first real time VFX I made for the thief class, I was tasked with many more VFXs to make. I made VFXs for environments, player abilities, enemy attacks and for UI. For each VFX I make I try to challenge myself with different ways of making them and this is a compilation of a few that I like.

2024 progress

Even after a year of working with real time VFX, I'm still learning different ways on how to create visual effects. I have found myself getting stuck and failing to achieve the visuals that I desire, but I learned that with enough research and a little creativity, I can transport the effects I have in mind onto the screen.

2025 progress

I've gotten more comfortable creating effects using Niagara in Unreal Engine and have started branching further into shader materials in hopes to level up my VFX game. I've had the opportunity to work on games with varying genres and styles, it was difficult but I ultimately pulled through.

Reminder to add in final part of progress. (horror)
